The ICANN, which is in charge of the domain names on Internet, has recently decided to liberalise the attribution of domain names.Before mid 2009 everyone shall be able to create, next to the extensions that we already know (.com ; .eu etc) the domain name of his choice. Any extension will be able to be created and reserved this way. The Internet users will then have an infinity of choices, from their trademarks to very generic words. [lesen]

After a vote in favour of the French National Assembly and of the Senate, the law 2007-1477 of the 17th of October 2007 has authorised ratification of the London Protocol, according to which European Patents will be filed in one of the three languages of the Office, namely English, French or German.
