The ICANN, which is in charge of the domain names on Internet, has recently decided to liberalise the attribution of domain names.Before mid 2009 everyone shall be able to create, next to the extensions that we already know (.com ; .eu etc) the domain name of his choice. After a vote in favour of the French National Assembly and of the Senate, the law 2007-1477 of the 17th of October 2007 has authorised ratification of the London Protocol, according to which European Patents will be filed in one of the three languages of the Office, namely English, French or German. Due to this French accession said protocol will be able to enter into force at the beginning of the year 2008. [lesen]
